Terms
Short, because the deal is short: you upload a picture, we hide it inside a pattern, and one credit buys one finished download.

Who you are dealing with
Staregram (staregram.com) is operated by Powell Lines LLC, [Registered address]. By using it you agree to these terms. Questions: support@staregram.com.
Who may use it
You must be at least 13 to create an account, and old enough where you live to agree to these terms yourself, or have a parent or guardian agree for you. Buying credits needs a payment method you are allowed to use.
Who owns what
You own your photographs, and you own the images you make from them. We claim no rights over either. We need permission to store and process your uploads in order to run the service, and to display anything you explicitly choose to share to the public gallery - nothing beyond that.
The patterns we supply, the software, and the Staregram name remain ours. Images you create using our patterns are yours to use, including commercially.
What you may upload
Pictures you have the right to use. Not: other people's copyrighted work without permission, sexual content involving minors, content that exists to harass a specific person, or anything unlawful. We remove content that breaks this and may suspend the account behind it.
Credits
- One credit is one finished download. Previews and re-renders are free.
- Purchased credits do not expire.
- Prices include any sales tax or VAT. Credit packs are sold and billed through Stripe, which acts as the reseller (merchant of record) for the purchase and handles the tax on it; your card statement will show STAREGRAM.COM.
- Downloading something you have already paid for again does not cost another credit.
- If a render fails after a credit was taken, it is refunded automatically in the same request. If that ever fails to happen, tell us and we will fix it.
Refunds
If you are not happy with something you paid for, ask us and we will refund it. We would rather lose the money than have you feel cheated. We may decline where there is a clear pattern of abuse.
What we do not promise
That you will be able to see the 3D effect. Around 1 in 14 adults cannot fuse a stereogram for physiological reasons, and no amount of effort changes that - which is why every image ships with a Reveal, and why you can try the whole thing for free before paying anything.
The service is provided as is. We work hard to keep it up and correct, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted availability, and our liability is limited to what you have paid us.
Ending things
You can delete your images at any time and ask us to close your account entirely. We may suspend accounts that break these terms, and will say why when we do. How we handle your data is described in the privacy notice.
The law that applies
These terms are governed by the laws of [State/Country]. Nothing in them takes away rights you have as a consumer under the law of the country you live in. If we change these terms, the date at the top changes; continuing to use Staregram after a change means you accept it.
Trademarks
"Magic Eye" is a registered trademark of Magic Eye Inc. We are not affiliated with them and do not use their mark as our own. Where it appears on this site, it is only to describe the kind of picture this is - the underlying technique is a published algorithm from 1994 that anyone may implement.
